There once was a boy dressed in blue
overall shorts and a white shirt. His shoes
were green with brown shoelaces. He always
said he wanted to look like everything he
loved. But he'd never say what it was!

The boy lived in a little village that was
surrounded by big hills and many trees. He
never played with the other children and
only talked to the shopkeepers. He was an
odd child!

One day the boy was talking to the village
smith and confessed something. The smith
smiled and told the little boy to run along.
After night came, the smith met with the
other shopkeepers and told them what the boy
confessed and they all agreed on something.

The next day when the little boy went to
visit the shopkeepers, none of them were
around! The little boy searched everywhere
for them but couldn't find any trace of
where they were hiding. He ran out of the
village and called out to them.

He heard their voices coming from the hills
surrounding the village! He ran as fast as
he could up the hills looking everywhere.
He'd run up one hill and call out, then run
back down, still hearing their voices. Which
hill were they hiding on he wondered!

It was getting late by now, the sun setting
and the sky darkening. The boy kept calling
out though, still hearing the shopkeepers
voices coming from the hills. As he looked up
he saw the stars in the sky twinkling very
bright. Four of the stars caught his eye, all
sitting in the sky over one particular hill.

He raced to the hill, calling out more loud
now for the shopkeepers. He couldn't hear their
voices anymore. Scared, he ran faster up the
hill. He finally made his way to the top of the
hill and stood there in shock. There they were!

The smith, the tailor, the jeweler and the
butcher all smiled at the boy. The boy said
nothing and looked at all of them, his eyes wide
and mouth open.

The butcher walked up to the boy and hugged him.

           "I love you, son."

The tailor walked up to the boy and hugged him.

           "I love you, son."

The jeweler walked up to the boy and hugged him.

           "I love you, brother."

The smith walked up to the boy and put his arm
around him and pointed to them. He whispered to the
boy something:

"You confessed to me you missed your family and
wished one day you could play with them in the hills
and grass. I see now why you wear the green and brown
shoes, to represent the hills and grass, huh? And the
blue and white is the sky and stars, right?"

The little boy looked up to the smith, tears
running down his face and kept listening.

"It's my turn to confess something to you. Your
family has always been at your side. Even though
they died before you got here, the stars shined
brightly on you and let your family come back. Your
father is the butcher, your mother is the tailor
and the jeweler is your sister."

The boy looked over to them, still wide eyed. His
mouth closed and smiled, more tears falling down
his cheeks.

The smith walked over to boys family and nodded.
He turned and looked at the boy, putting his hammer
on the ground and pointed to it.

"This is for you. My time here is over. The stars
have fallen all around you and many great things
are in store for you! You have your family now and
they will show you the happiness you deserve. Take
the hammer and carry on this tradition."

After speaking, the smith walked down the hill and
disapeered, the boy never seeing him again. From
that moment on, the boy worked along side his
family and became the new village smith.

For once every so long, a night will come that
the stars fall around someone to give them the
power to make a deserving person happy. The boy
lived out his days along his family, working hard
in the village, playing with them in the hills and
waiting for the next night the stars fell.
